As Walter drove Cloyd back to the group home, each was silent, "preoccupied with his own regrets." What do you think each character's regrets were?
Cloyd: Now I wish that I didn't cut the peach trees. My friendship with Walter was great, but I ruined it.
Walter: Why did I ever like the kid? I tried my best to be nice to him, and he repays me by killing my favorite thing in the world, the only thing that reminds me of my wife, our peach trees. Danielle Q.

Cloyd: Cutting down Walters beautiful peach trees, being irrespectful, and just not being nice. (Alaina)
Walter: Feeding the boy bear meat when he knew that he was a Ute. (also written by Alaina)

I think Cloyd felt really embarrassed by running away so often, he was afraid to talk to Walter, which I think really could have saved their relationship. Walter definetely should feel ashamed of giving him bear meat, when he knew he was a Ute. What kind of Friendship was that? Gleek Winston.

Cloyde: I think Cloyde regrets half way cutting down the important peach trees and the fence. but that is not all, I also think he felt bad about how he was treating walter. He finally figured out what walter was doing for him. those are all of his regrets.~ Alexa Holland

Walter: Walter was feeling guilty about the bear and the hunters. It never really registered to him that the bear is a sacred thing to the utes and now he fed it to cloyde. once seeing the bearstone that has been in his pocket for quite some time he finally figured out what he had done.~ Alexa Holland

cloyd i dont feel hapy about this i feelsab about it
walter iwish iwerent swearing so much

I think Cloyd thought I wish I wouldn't have cut down the peach trees and he was regreting himself not to see blue boy before he left. Now Walter thought I failed to give him a home, now he has to go back to the home where he doesn't like and he doesn't care for anyone there.~Jimmy Airoldi

Cloyd: I wish I didn't cut know Walter's trees, I knew those meant everything to him. I always wish I would have said bye to the horses or riden Blue Boy one last time.

Walter: I should not have let the hunters bring back the killed bear, knowing that bears meant a lot to the Utes. Also using bad language. ~ Libby Kredell

I think Cloyd felt bad about ruining the fence and peach trees. And i think Walter is regretting driving Cloyd back to the group home because he's always had a bad life in the group home.
